Coleus (Coleus forskohlii) In Reductup Woman: root E.S. standardized to 10% in forskolin

The coleus forskohlii is an ancient tropical plant, used in traditional Indian dish as is or as a remedy for the cardiovascular apparatus and respiratory systems. The use of coleus is also suitable for abdominal colic, urinary disorders and insomnia.

Currently it is mostly used as a liporeducing, anti-depressant, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator, balancing blood pressure and to facilitate weight loss.
It is a plant rich in phyto constituents (diterpenes and cardiac glycosides), which possesses multiple pharmacological activities attributed to the plant complex. The coleus is a perennial plant and for the production of extracts seeks only the root.

The active ingredients contained in coleus are part of the chemical class of diterpenoidsas the main componentforskolin. It acts on adenylate cyclase producing anincrease of cAMP and putting into action the cascade of enzymes, in adipose tissue, leading to the cleavage of triglycerides.

The slimming activity of forskolin is due to the activity lipolytic, established by a sequence of reactions which start by enhancing the levels of cAMP in the adipocyte that activates initially a cAMP dependent protein kinase and in a second time anenzyme (lipase triacil glycerol) that catalyzes the hydrolysis of ester bonds of triglycerides.

Is thought to increase the anabolism of thyroid hormonesby activating the 4’-5’-deiodinase and in particular of T3 that is named “thermogenic hormone”. Thanks to these properties, is used frequently by those athletes who need to lose weight.

Having a substance that helps body cells in each field is an advantage to be taken into account in the case of many systemic and specialist organism diseases. Substance existing, comes from a plant source that grows naturally in eastern areas in the subtropical climate and has a range of positive outcomes on various organs and tissues.
It is forskolin, a molecule extracted from coleus forskohlii, a plant known since ancient times for its curative properties.

The coleus has been used for many centuries as a regulator of blood pressure and certainly the ancient doctors could not know that the molecule also had antiplatelet, anti-inflammatory, bronchodilator and vasodilator.

Forskolin has its therapeutic properties to a specific mechanism of action that activates the enzyme adenylate cyclase 4, resulting in increased concentrations of c-AMP in all eukaryotic cells. The c-AMP has a basic function in cellular regulation, exercising a positive effect on cardiova-scular level, pulmonary, skin and platelet aggregation.
Increasing levels of c-AMP in the heart and vessels, forskolin causes a decrease in blood pressure by relaxing vascular smooth muscle and improves left ventricular function, exerting a positive isotropic effect.

At the pulmonary level, the increased levels of c-AMP caused by forskolin provides a relaxation of bronchial smooth muscles and relief of asthma symptoms.
Another area of implementation of forskolin is the psoriasis. Similarly asthma, psoriasis is also characterized by low levels of c-AMP in the dermis. This alteration contributes to the accelerated replacement of mitotic keratinocytes caused the clinical disease.

In this regard there is evidence of improvement in psoriasis symptoms with forskolin that regulating the concentration of c-AMP and can exert a positive effect on the disease, optimizing the turnover cheatinocitarius.
The modern scientific analysis has shown that the potential applications of the extract of coleus forskohlii are numerous because the molecule has a mechanism of action and properties that permit use as an adjuvant in numerous systemic diseases.
