Horse Chestnut: natural ingredient of Mycream Men

This plant belongs to the family of Ippocastanaceae and is also known under the term of India Chestnut.
Native to Asia and northern Greece, its natural habitat is represented by the hills of the mountainous Balkan Peninsula although today it is present in almost all Europe.

The seeds cultivated recently are used in the preparation of the concentrates standard. Less frequently used is the bark of branches or walls of the fruit. The most important bioactive component is escin, a saponin present in the seeds with considerable anti-inflammatory qualities and antiedematose.
In extracts of horse chestnut there are also flavonoids, tannins, sterols and glycosides aesculin and fraxina. Just as in the derivatives of the ivy, their behavior is functional to the vessel protection and venous vasoconstriction.

It has been recognized on several occasions a symptomatic constriction of the micro pores in the the vascular walls caused by the active principles of horse chestnut. Such minor fenestration of the vessels, prevents transpiration of fluid in the subcutaneous tissue, thereby avoiding the turgor, which often accompanies the formation of fatty tissue.

This result is intensified by the contrast enacted by aescin against bradykinin, an important conductor of the vascular permeability. In comparisons between different active ingredients of different plants, the protective and antiedemic activity of the escin was found to be six hundred times greater than that of rutin.

The activity of escin also includes an important vasoconstriction provoked by stress to the production of prostaglandin F-alpha and for this reason that the horse chestnut is also used in the treatment of varicose veins.

The Council of Europe, for the use of concentrated plant products such as cosmetics, indicating the horse chestnut suitable for anti-edema and protective properties of skin microcirculation.
The extract from the seed of ippocastano in if encloses the escin that it has qualities exclusive cosmetic, very used for the external care of adiposity and for many other problems of skin where is present capillary fragility.

The balsamic effect , invigorating and the most effective preservative is dished out by the vegetable world for our health. The essential active ingredient contained in its seeds is escin, union of saponosidi of nature triterpenic with anti exudative and normalizing the permeability of the vessel wall, as well as the coumarin extracted from the bark, that facilitate the absorption of liquids through the lymphatic tissue. The aescin is used as a reducing fluid retention and circulation problems, especially in the legs.

In the cosmetic field is used to its vessel protective and astringent properties and treatment of red skin and prevention the imperfections of adipose tissue. The synergy of multiple flavonoids provides a characteristic anti-lipo peroxide, stabilizing cellular homeostasis.

Homeostasis is the condition of internal stability of living beings who must maintain even with the change of external conditions for work of self-regulatory processes. It is the maintenance of conformity of optimal chemical composition of the plasma, interstitial fluid and the intracellular fluid.
