L-Cysteine Cl.: natural ingredient of Mycolor

L-cysteine promotes the efficiency of the immune system and maintains optimal health. Helps to maintain lean muscle mass and is necessary for the production of T cells and for the activation of the immune system. Can enhance athletic endurance and prevent muscle catabolism.

What is l-cysteine?

L-Cysteine is an amino acid sensitive to the conditioning; contains sulfur, present in proteins. It is conditionally essential because it can be generated in endogenously sufficiently but may have to be integrated in such a way exogenous if the physical needs of the body (by physical stress) become too large.

What activities does the l-cysteine?

L-Cysteine performs multiple functions in the body and generates L-Taurine and L-Glutathione. Taurine is of great interest and has an important activity in certain functions of the central nervous system and also to help to regulate blood pressure, to safeguard the view and the efficiency of the eyes and promoting the thermogenesis and the construction of the muscles.

Glutathione is crucial for the efficiency of the immune system because it is an important antioxidant that protects cell function and efficiency of nerve signals. The direct integration of glutathione proved ineffective in order to increase the levels of cellular glutathione, levels of l-cysteine have proved adequate for this purpose.

The supplement of l-cysteine increases the level of NAC - N-acetyl cysteine (C3H7NO2S). We are aware that NAC increases the rates of glutathione in the blood and maintains lean muscle mass, consequently the results of antioxidants and increase of glutathione of l-cysteine are attributable to its ability to raise levels of NAC.
L-Cysteine is essential for the formation of T cells and for the ’activation of the immune system. L-Cysteine is also a constituent of human hair and of the insulin. L-Cysteine may also be transformed into glucose (for the production of energy) when the glucose levels in the blood are low. This transformation can increase athletic prowess and prevent muscle catabolism.

Even the gastrointestinal tract can benefit from l-cysteine as it can protect the side-effects of some drugs strengthening the stomach lining. The integration of l-cysteine may be more effective if used in conjunction with vitamin E, vitamin C, vitamin B6, calcium and selenium. It is known that athletic training increases oxidative stress and this can lead to the suppression of the immune system.
