Green Tea: natural ingredient of Kalospeed

The green tea (also called virgin tea, Camellia sinensis or Thea sinensis) is obtained by a stabilization that destroys enzymes tea, contains proteins (15%), glucosides soluble (< 5%), vitamins (vitamin C at levels comparable with those of the lemon, the B vitamins), minerals (4-9%), purine bases (2-4%) represented by caffeine and some powerful antioxidants called polyphenols and carotenoids.

The polyphenols are very abundant (30%) are constituted by phenolic acids (chlorogenic acid, caffeic acid, gallic acid), hydrolysable tannins, flavonoids, epiafzelechina. These substances have a strong antioxidant activity. Other components are dimers flavanici (proantocianidoli). Green tea contains about twice catechins (class of polyphenols) than black tea.

It also seems to have antiandrogenic effects similar to saw palmetto albeit also has a stimulating effect on the physical level. It would be active both topically or used internally. Proposed in the treatment of obesity.

Black tea (one commonly used as a drink) is obtained by fermentation. Caffeine stimulates the nervous system and cardiovascular system. Theophylline promotes respiration. Theobromine is a tonic for the heart and nervous system and has mild diuretic action. The tannins have an astringent and anti-inflammatory action.

For external use polyphenols with antioxidant activity present in the extract of green tea, are able to inhibit human erythema induced by UVB rays, reducing the local production of pro-inflammatory prostaglandins and oxygen free radicals.
