Soy: ingredient of Breast Up

Soy Extracts in Cosmetics Antiwrinkle

Soybeans are known to contain substances with important biological activities.
The major components are phospholipids (45-60%) and essential fatty acids (30-35%), while minors that are more active are isoflavones and protease inhibitor STI and BBI.

The most abundant isoflavones in soy are genistein and daidzetine that, according to published studies, are able to penetrate the stratum corneum and to attain the vital layers of the epidermis thanks to liopofila nature of the stratum corneum. In general, the non-ionized forms of soy isoflavones are able to be absorbed better from the skin compared to the ionized forms.

Treatment with soy isoflavones act in the fight against oxidative processes due to aging with four mechanisms: increase cellular glutathione (GHS) and the activity of glutathione S-transferase (GTS), prevent the depletion of antioxidant enzymes and degradation DNA, and decrease the formation of H2O2.

Thus have a wide range of antioxidant effects which, however, does not take place in the first person, but appear to be due to stimulation of cell signaling pathways that increase the ability of antioxidants own skin. In this way they are able to inhibit oxidative damage and prevent the biological alterations associated with aging. The primary metabolites genistein and daidzetine are also known as phytoestrogens, or compounds present in plants that have a weak estrogenic effect. In soy are present glycosides and only when they are converted in their free form producing this effect.

Phytoestrogens, such as estrogen, working in tandem with the estrogen receptors (ERs) and fail to give similar biological effects, or retard the thinning of skin and the loss of collagen caused by aging. Soy isoflavones have also a possible effect on the stimulation of collagen synthesis.

Genistein is able to increase the expression of collagen gene (COL1A2) in human fibroblasts. Finally, can increase levels of GAG dermal, in particular hyaluronic acid (HA) in aged skin, that is important for tissue repair, maintenance of skin hydration and elasticity.

The loss of brightness of the incarnate may correspond to the waxy skin of oily skin associated with enlarged pores, or it may be one of the consequences of aging, due to:

  • The thickening of the stratum corneum, due to the accumulation of corneocytes, which reduces the transpa-
    rency of the epidermis
  • Thinning of the epidermis alive
  • The slowdown and turn-over (renewal) of keratinocytes
  • The increased and irregular melanocytic density.

It can modify the cohesion of the corneocytes and, therefore, to accelerate the process of desquamation, AHA modulate the epidermal renewal.

The decrease in estrogen, age-related, causes a loss of volume and density of the skin. The action-mimetic hormo-
nal “estrogen-like” of soy isoflavones (genistein and daid-
zein) acts:

  • On the stimulation of production of hyaluronic acid: genistein and daidzein increase considerably the produ-
ction of hyaluronic acid in cultures of keratinocytes and improve the skin alterations
  • On the stimulation of collagen production in cultures fibroblasts: genistein causes an increase in the concen-
    tration of collagen
  • The improvement of the elasticity of the skin
  • On the inhibition of matrix metalloproteinases (MMP-1), such as collagenase and elastase, which degrade the connective tissue.

On the occasion of the application of a cream based on isoflavones (4% of genistein), was observed an increase in the density of the skin and of the number of blood vessels. Soy isoflavones (2%) in topical application also cause an increase in skin papillae in the elderly, thus improving the dermal-epidermal junction. Mature skin have a more youthful appearance.

The improvement of the dermal-epidermal junction, elasticity and density of the skin is related to the increase of production of hyaluronic acid and collagen, as well as to block the degradation of collagen and elastin by inhibition of MMP. The use of these active ingredients thus allows to give volume and density to the skin.

Wonderup Cream is a biocomplex selected amino acids and plant extracts. For this line the plantocomplex used is a basis of aglycones of isoflavones Soja (genistein and daidzein) It is a preparation phyto-hormonal based on isoflavones Soja in active form agliconyc (the only biologically active), with a high concentration of genistein. In addition to stimulating cell proliferation mammary epithelial, genistein has the ability to reinforce the dermis, further contributing to make firmer the breast and to increase skin tone.

The result is a net improvement of the profile of the breast. Phytoestrogens stimulate the production of collagen and elastin and thus counteract the degradation of collagen and elastin present during aging is accelerated with the consequent formation of wrinkles and sagging skin. Also reduce hyperpigmentation. There are in the market numero-
us preparations based on soya isoflavones, for the most part, however, are constituted by isoflavonyc glycosides, which are not biologically active, but if they are taken orally, the intestinal enzymes turn them in the form agliconica. It is therefore necessary for the functionality of cosmetics, that the soy isoflavones are introduced in the form agliconyc ie biologically active estrogenic and given that in the skin are not present these enzymes.
