Wakame Seaweed: ingredient of Reductup Women

Wakame Seaweed (Undaria pinnatifida) in Reductup Women: dry extract standardized to 10% in Fucoxanthin (Nutraceuticals)

contained in the algae wakame is partially hydrolysed to fucoxantinolo, even more active of the fucoxanthin, carried out by a lipase or a carboxy-esterase, and then is metabolized. The peak blood is obtained in about an hour after administration.

Effects on adipose tissue

As regards the control mechanisms of the body weight and fat deposits, in the last years has been isolated from a group of proteins called UCP (Uncoupling Proteins), able to implement a strategic role as regards thermo genetic processes.
These proteins may prove suitable to control overweight and other metabolic disorders. The uncoupling proteins UCPL1 are particularly involved in weight control.

ts activity an important regulator of energy production. In humans, this function is performed mainly by the white fat tissue, in which the stimulation of UCP1 leads to the reduction of fatty deposits.

At the same food consumption in individuals treated with fucoxanthin from wakame seaweed derivative, we obtained a significant decrease in the accumulation of white fat and a significant decrease in body weight.

Fucoxanthin also appears to work by reducing the production of fat cells by regulating action of lipogenesis in the initial and intermediate stadiums of differentiation of adipocytes (preadipocytes).

Fucoxanthin generates, at the hepatic level, an increased synthesis of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and arachidonic acid, useful for positive influence on lipid profile in people with hyperglycaemia and overweight.

Toxycological Studies

The toxicological research confirms that Fucoxanthin has no toxicity at the recommended dosage.
