Rhodiola - Pag. 1

E > Micra:

Rhodiola: natural ingredient of E > Micra

Chemical composition

Rhodiola: natural ingredient of E > MicraStudies performed on the plant have identified multiple components of great interest within the rhizome as organic acids such as citric, malic, oxalic, succinic, and the gallic; essential oils with the presence of alcohol phenyl ethylene cinamaldeide and citral.

Macro and microelements, among which manganese in high amount. Most relevant remain, however, the constituents and phenolic glycoside: salidroside, rosavin, rosin, rodiosin. These distinguish it specifically and differ from the other qualities of Rhodiola (which is in force only salidroside) and different and best-known adaptogens.

Principal therapeutic results

The mechanism of action of Rhodiola R. is found on the formation of serotonin, whose action takes place on the control of appetite, sleep, memory, behavior, mood, cardiovascular function and learning ability. The curative effect is believed to be determined by the inhibition of the enzyme responsible for the inactivation of serotonin and the transport stimulation of 5-hydroxytryptophan (precursor of serotonin) through the blood-brain barrier whose final outcome leads to an increase in serotonin levels in the blood.

It was also proven that Rhodiola Rosea stimulates the biosynthesis of hormones such as epinephrine, norepinephrine and adenocorticoitidi that, putting into action the adenilatocidiasi at the level of adipose nuclei, stimulate the enzyme giving impetus, in this way, to the release of fatty acids in the blood. This presence of fatty acids from adipose tissue, is an increase in the best sub-stratum for the generation of ATP (adenosine triphosphate, the key molecule in the energy metabolism of the cell).

By referring to the research realized until now, we have the faculty to attribute to Rhodiola Rosea the improvement of the depressive conditions as a function of the direct control of mood (serotonin) and behavior that determines a decrease in stress responses in the period of alarm.

A contemporary studio, turned on a group of 120 patients suffering from depression caused by different stress, exhibited evidence of positive transformation of the clinical manifestations of depression in 70% of cases as a result of administration of a preparation based on Rhodiola Rosea. Rhodiola R. is also particularly indicated for the stimulation of mental alertness, of improvement of concentration, lucidity and the potential of the memory properties that make it particularly indicated in cases of mental exertion.
