Frequently
Asked Questions about Wonderup:
Special warnings
Wonderup is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding
women due to the presence of herbs which might stimulate
uterine contractions, and that might be passed on
to the child during breastfeeding.
[NOTE: these herbs have indeed been used for centuries
by nursing mothers to stimulate milk production, but
not all of them together! Wonderup contains 15 herbs,
many of which have this specific galactogogue property
for increasing lactation. It also contains ginseng,
which, although in very mild doses and perfectly safe
for adults (for whom the recommended daily dose for
long-term use is 200mg, while with Wonderup you'd
be taking about 150 mg daily and then 50mg only during
the maintenance period), might be a bit too much for
the delicate system of the baby, who would absorb
the herbs through the mother's milk (ginseng is a
natural stimulant not to be taken by very young children).
If you need to improve scarce lactation, you should
use just galega or another galactogogue herb, but
only one at a time].
It is obviously not indicated for anyone who is allergic
to one or more of its ingredients. Women with particular
medical conditions should check with their physician.
