HOW MANY HAIRS DO WE HAVE ?

Our hair is around 100.000-150.000. People with red hair have an inferior number of hair towards the brown ones (100.000) or the blond (120.000). The blonde hair is nevertheless thinner.

WHY DO WE HAVE A PARTICULAR KIND OF HAIR ?

The hair color is due to the melanocites that are the cells that produce this pigment. DurIng the growth of the follicle, these cells produce the melanin that is admitted in the hair. There are two essential types of melanin: the dark brown eumelanins and the yellow-red pheomelanines. When we grow old , for some reasons, the hair melanocites begin to decrease the production of pigment, bleaching the hair. The appearance of the first white hair is on the temples around thirty years old. We can say that 50% of the people, at fifty years old, has around 50% of white hair.

WHY OUR HAIRS ARE CLEARER DURING THE CHILDHOOD?

Because we have a greater production of melanin by the melanocites in the follicles. Even our the shape of hair is modified throughout the years ;small children often have hair that are difficult to comb.

WHICH IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CURLY HAIR AND SLEEK HAIR?

Essentially, the steam conformation is circular for sleek hair and flat for curly hair. These different forms of hair are also those that differentiate the three principal races.

WHY DO OUR HAIRS BECOMES OPAQUE?

When the cuticle is entire, hair is shiny while if the cells raise up, as it happens after an aggressive cosmetic treatments or after the exposure to the sun or under the effect of heat , the cuticle doesn't reflect the light and hair is opaque and dry and it is inclined to easily be entangled.

It is conclusive to daily protect our hair because, once ruined, they cannot be repaired; the only remedy for the double tips is a good cut . It needs to avoid non necessary cosmetics, to use a balm and to protect hair from the solar rays.
